Virtuemart Expert

This is one of the question we are often asked by customers: “How can we add a link to a PDF in the content or product description”.

We normally install the JCE-Editor with our Joomla and Virtuemart setups. It is quite simple to add a link to a file in the filesystem of the server, but there are some steps required. I have found a very nice tutorial that describes exactly this procedure with a detailed set of screenshots: Adding a pdf to an Joomla article – JCE | Flying Pixel Help. Maybe this helps some of you.

There is of course another way that is a bit easier and offers some more features: the JCE-Subscriber Plugins. As a subscriber you can use the different file- and mediamanager plugins directly in JCE.
