We have a small tip for users of phpStorm and Timelog / GrandTotal. If you want to start timetracking directly from phpStorm, you can add an "External Tool" to do this for you.

Open the phpStorm settings and click on "External Tools" on the left bar. Now create a new entry. In the following screenshot you can see how i have configured the settings:

In the parameters, you can paste the following string (you should at least edit the name...):

"timelog://start/?status=(null)&client=$ProjectName$&creator=Thomas Kahl&category= &project=$Prompt$"

This will now add a "Timelog Start" menu item at several positions. When you click it, you will be asked for a tasktitle. After that, a new Timelog entry with the projectname and task is created and active.

More options how to automate the process through predefined variables you can find when you click on the "Insert macro..." buttons.
